Shepherd's Home Golf Fundraiser
Western Mountain Lodge Staff
The Shepherd's Home, a home facility for children in need, is now accepting registration for its annual fundraising dinner and golf tournament. This year's golf tournament will be held on Friday August 2 at Tamarack Resort's Osprey Meadows Golf Course with auction and dinner taking place in the Arling Center conference facility. The tournament will be followed by a cocktail hour and buffet dinner featuring a live and silent auction beginning at 5pm. Golf registration includes the cost of dinner but separate dinner reservations are encouraged for non-golfers. For more information go to www.shepherds-home.org

Apline Playhouse Presents "Off The Wall"

The Alpine Playhouse will present its summer production of "Off THe Map" by Joan Auckermann starting Thursday July 26 and running July 27-28 and Aug. 1-4. All performances begin at 8pm at The Playhouse located on Roosevelt St. in McCall. The off-beat comedy revolves around a young wonan's memories of growing up with her maverick family in the back hills of New Mexico. Tickets are $6 for all seats and can be purchased at McCall Drug or at the door.

Summer Music Festival at Roseberry

The 19th or 20th Annual Summer Music Festival at Roseberry will take place in Historic Roseberry, Idaho on July 19th through 21st, one mile east of Donnelly on E. Roseberry Rd. Headliners for the event include Karen Savoca, Pete Heitzman, The Wailin' Jennys, John Cruz and The Drew Emmitt Band. Tickets to this event are $15 per night or $40 for all 3 nights; kids under 12 are free. For more information go to www.mccallfolkloresociety.com.

Garden Program & Tour

A Garden Program, lunch and tour will be presented Saturday July 14 at the Central Idaho Historical Museum at 1001 State St. The Snowdon Wildlife Sanctuary and Educational Center will join with Valley County Master Gardeners to present "A Plant and Animal Partnership - Please Don't Eat my Plants." The event will take place from 11am to 4:30pm and lunch will be served at noon. Tickets are $20 and on sale at Mountain Monkey Business in McCall.

McCall Airport Community Appreciation Day

The McCall Airport will put on a Community Appreciation Day open house on Saturday, July 7 from 10am - 2pm. The event will feature a C-130 from the Idaho National Guard and Mark Peterson's P-51 Mustang. Other aircraft will also be on display. Displays and discussions will also be available during the day. This is sure to be a perfect event for the whole family!
