Holiday Bazaar at Senior Center
Western Mountain Lodge Staff
A Holiday Bazaar and Bake Sale will be held Saturday, November 10 at the McCall Senior Center. Come and enjoy a wide array of holiday gift-giving items! The sale of locally made handcrafted items and baked goods will run from 9am to 4pm at the center, located at 710 first St. A hot lunch will be served at noon for a small cost. 2007 Fall Shoot November 3

The Garden Valley Sportsmen's Club is hosting its 2007 Fall Shoot on Saturday, November 3 starting at 10am. The Shoot will be held at the Garden Valley Range on the Banks-to-Lowman Highway about two miles east of the Village of Garden Valley. Competition for prizes includes trap shooting events, an off-hand big game rifle challenge and a .22 rimfire rifle shooting for youth hunters. Raffle prizes will be given away with a $300 gift certificate as first prize. Burgers and soft drinks will be available. For more info call 208-462-5058.

Pianist Del Parkinson to give Free Concert

Boise pianist Del Parkinson will give his annual free performance in McCall at 7:30pm Sunday, October 21 at the McCall Community Congregational Church located at First and Park Streets. During the concert, titled "The Final Bow?" Parkinson will play works from Chopin, Ravel, Rachmaninoff and Liszt along with detailed commentary. The concert is presented by the McCall Music Society and the Idaho Arts and Humanities Council.

Community Children's Choir

Rehearsals are now underway for the McCall Community Children's Choir at the McCall Community Congregational Church located at First and Park streets in McCall. The church is sponsoring the free nondenominational choir for children from kindergarten through eighth grade. Rehearsals will be held from 3:30pm to 4:30pm each Monday. The choir started in January as a community outreach to provide an opportunity for children to learn good singing skills, rhythm, harmony and to improve listening skills. Last year's choir drew 30 young voices, ranging from ages 4 to 10. This year youths ages 11 to 14 are especially encouraged to participate. For enrollment or more info call 208-634-5430.

Crafters Sought for Christmas Fair

Crafters are being sought to take part in the Cascade Senior Citizen Center's annual Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, November 24 from 10am - 4pm. Anyone interested in renting space for the event should call the Senior Center at 208-382-4256. Crafters - take note and sign up early! Mark your calendars now and plan your holiday shopping at this event offering many styles of gifts, edibles, decorations and much more!
