Student Essays reflect Barbara Morgan's inspiration
Western Mountain Lodge Staff
An essay contest with the theme "What Barbara Morgan Means to Me" held at McCall and Donnelly Elementary schools yielded delightful essays written and ready by the children at a homecoming rally at the high school. One essay reads: "Barbara Morgan means many things to me, but above all she inspired me by showing me your dreams can come true! Although she was not the first teacher with the dream to be an astoronaut, she was the first woman teacher to return to Earth safely. She has what it takes to make her dreams come true." by Saskie Bock, 4th Grade McCall Elementary School.
